79 - 86 axles

78/79 have a narrower spring perch width than all the others. but you can make do. it wont be a bolt in you will have to make new spring mounts up front

It's easy enough to widen perches on front axles so 78/79 into later models is no problem. It's the newer axles in an older truck that are a major PITA.

newer ones shave 36.5 perch width, 78/79 are 32.5

the axle he has is my coil sprung dana 44... he is going to straight axle using coils.
