My 2001 F250 4x4, I had to change the little "inner spindle" bearing because it got water in it and dusted itself...
It's only got 20K miles on it, I got it three years ago with 25 miles on it, and it sat in a dealer's lot for 1.5 years.
I had to take off the passenger side front brake, bearing, etc, to get to that little needle bearing. Anyway, the inboard brake pad was basically welded to the caliper bracket with rust. Only one pad was really working.
We had a 1992 Aerostar and while driving fast and hard in the middle of summer the right front caliper locked up-while driving-pulled over and watched the hub cap fall off, it was in a ball of fire being so hot, towed home and discovered AC drain line dripping directly on caliper, not a good thing cold water on hot mechanical parts.

I haven't taken apart the other side yet
Just took apart the other side, same thing, one pad rusted to the caliper bracket, not moving.
I have 30,000 miles on my 2004 F-350 and I installed a 4" lift and 35" wheel/tires at around 5,000 miles.
The front brakes are exhibiting the sticky calipers, hot and now a slight grinding noise issue mentioned in this and a few other threads.
My question - is the lift kit going to be a warranty issue with Ford? I am pretty sure extended brake hoses were not required when installing a 4" lift (anything more requires the longer brake hoses).
I need to get this in to be fixed ASAP and want to be armed with the right warranty and coverage info.

It depends on the dealer. Some will not even ask or notice, some will refuse to do the work. It depends on how much they want to take care of you. Talk to your salesman first, maybe?
