I have a 2003 EB Explorer with the two toned (light/dark) leather seats. Just bought this used with 15K miles on it. All the seat look good the driver seat is starting to show a little wear. I’ve never owned leather seats before and don’t know what to do to take care of them. I understand Lexol is good and I’ll probably go that route. But the two leathers seem different. The light has a hole pattern and the dark is solid and more of what I would expect leather to look like. Is this a leather/vinyl combo? Does anyone know if the EB leather is coated? If it is coated can I still use Lexol? Also does anyone have any thought for a vinyl and trim conditioner? I would love to hear from other EB owners to see how theirs have held up.
I would recommend Lexol. I use it on my seats, dash, door panels, etc. There are a lot of products on the market, but I have found Lexol and a leather cleaner/conditioner made by Fullers is the best. Mequiars has a good product also.
