2000 using oil
I have a 2000 explorer with the 5.0 V8. It uses about 1.3 qts every 2500 miles. I purchased this vehicle back in Dec of 04, i also bought the extended warranty (3year/36000). So, is anyone else having this problem with there 5.0 V8 using oil? Will Ford do anything about this?
Also I crawled underneith the vehicle, and checked for leaks. No oil on my driveway, or parking space at work.

I had 170,000 on my 302 before changing out (due to a stupidity problem, not Ford problem), and it never used a drop. If you are not leaking anywhere, internal problems are occuring. I would start checking plugs to see how wet they are, compression, intake manifolds, etc. The oil has to be going somewhere...
