I've lowered a few rigs with their kits and they are very high quality. I wouldn't go any other route unless they don't have something for your application. Good luck on your drop and post some pics when you are done!
Graffe.
Thank you very much but I still have one more question,
what exactly do I need and how much will it cost?
I have AIM and MSN instant messengers so if you want you can add me to one of them and we can talk.
my email is David_8184(No Email Addresses In Posts!) and my AIM name is David 8424. thanks much and if anyone else has any info please i am wiling to hear it.
For the front of your truck, you will need a set of lowered twin I beams. If you get the kit through DJM, the kit includes the necessary hardware, such as a new set of King pins. This is all nuts and bolts and pretty easy to do, but keep in mind that if your truck has never been apart, some bolts, and in particular the king pins are sometimes seized and require some work to get out. On the projects i have done, I have been lucky, and not had any such problems. DJM will recommend shorter shocks for the front, but I am running my original shocks without a problem. DJM sends their stuff in a black/silver wrinkle paint that i thought was tacky, so I painted mine black. Out back you will have to cut off the rivets on the spring hanger at the front of the spring, and bolt on the new bracket. At the rear of the spring, only the shackle is changed. This is all pretty simple, and DJM supplies everything necessary. I also had to modify my rear wheel opening bed brace slightly. You will certainly need shorter shocks on the rear, and I got those from DJM too! Plan on spending about $650.00 to get the entire thing done. I changed tires and wheels too, so my expense went through the roof! Click on the picture of my truck and you can see how mine sits. Keep in mind that my truck is a 5000 mile original, and had little if any normal settlement from original. Most rucks will be a little lower than mine. Since the photos were taken last year, the truck has settled about 1" more front and rear, and actually looks even better now. I have 17" wheels with pretty tall tires as well. I hope this helps, and you can e-mail me at keimig@charter.net if you need some more help. FOMOGO
