M5OD to ZF

M5OD to ZF
I have an 89 bronco with an M5OD that is near death and dont like it any way i would like to put a ZF out of an F-250 back in, low gear really helps at the boat ramp. Any way what am i goin to run into trying to do this, are they the same length, will it bolt to my transfer case? just any info from any one that has tried this before, or is there a M5OD i can find that has a low 1st. thanx

According to others here who have done the swap, it's a simple bolt-in swap. I believe both are the same length so you don't need new driveshafts or anything. Just make sure you get the ZF shifter with the transmission as they are different.
