Superchip on the 6.0
I've heard mostly good about the superchip, but also that in the mountains the engine can overheat and do a lot of damage. We'll be in the mountains a lot - are we smart to get the chip, or taking a big risk? We've got a 2005 F250 6.0 PSD Lariat, automatic transmission. towing around 14,000 lbs. Thanks for your exlertise.

As with any tuner or fuel box you should get gauges and watch them. That being said the SCMT says in tow mode you can safely tow whatever your truck is rated for.
I know of people that tow 20,000 with the SCMT in HP mode with no problems but, they have guages and no mountains.
