I'm running one in my 93 F 150 5.0 and it works great, and its pretty simple swap with an aod tranny. You will have to swap a few pins at the plug that connects to the ecm, rewire your injectors, and wire in a maf sensor. I wrote down what pins have to be swaped at the concector and where all the wires that have to be added go, if your intrested i can type it up and email it to you. Just send me a pm.

One thing i do suggest before you do the swap is to getting these two books:
Ford Fuel Injection & Electronic Engine Control and How to Tune & Modify Ford Fuel Injection . They have a lot of useful info and you can get both of them from amazon for about $37.

cjjeeper is right on, and definitely good books to have. Also might want to look at this page: http://bjoern.brembs.net/content.php?article.22 to see what exactly is involved in doing the swap yourself. You don't have to do everything he did, but you'll at least get an idea of what is involved.

Check all your local junk yards and look in the FTE classifieds, it might also be a good idea to post a want add in the FTE classifieds to.

A dealer might have the y-pipe but you'll pay through the nose for it.(I think i would make something out of duct tape and super glue before i went to the dealer)

Dealer should be able to get it no question. It is around $70 for just the plastic 'y', crankcase breather tube and tubes between the 'y' and the throttle body. That was the only place I was able to find this part as none of the junkyards around here seemed to salvage that part. It will be found (if you can find it) on '94-'95 F150's with a V8 (302 or 351) and a single air filter outlet, or any V8 '96 F150.

Off-topic question. What is the point of Ford using a dual-bore throttle body?

It'd be so much nicer if it was just a large single bore.

I just did a thread on "Y" pipes Bassani makes the mass air pipe that will fit your truck with a cat and all three bungs for O2 sensor about $400 however.

Being that he has a '93 does he have an aod or the e4od? I was thinking about the swap but seemed alot of trouble trying to tie in the transmission control.

They still put the AOD (non electronic) behind the 302 in '93. The 'y' pipe in question here is the intake, not the exhaust.

Will a mustang manifold bolt up if you intend to use a mustang throttle body, and air intake setup or is there something that prevents us truck guys from doing this.

Basically if I use a trick flow manifold which has the tb at the left side can I rig up a tb and maf from a mustang and run it that way instead of the dual bore to the right side?

You can put on a mustang manifold without a whole lot of trouble. I'm running one.

I don't suggest the trick flow manifold it is more for high rpm and will most likly hurt your low rpm power. A better idea would be to get a stock mustang, cobra, or an explorer manifold, any of thoes three will work much better on your truck than the trick flow.

Found this website while searching for info on converting with E4OD trans. They have a section for trucks and list a kit for E4OD trucks.
