Proper alignment when installing a door.

A while ago a lapse in MY attention led to some damage being done to the passenger side door of my 90' Bronco. Just like the rest of us typically do, I shunted the appealings of my wife and told her "I know what I'm doing" and proceeded to "fix" the problem. I'm fairly mechanically able so all was going well until it was time to actually reinstall the door. I'm having the darndest time getting it to line up properly so that I can actually OPEN the door. Any body experts out there who can help I would appreciate it so I can save face. Thanks!

You'll get there. Loosen the screws to the front fender enough to test the action of the door and tighten when you get the right spot. You may want to take some measurements on the passenger side hinge where it connects to that fender as well. I've been there. Everytime ive had to remove a door I have traced the hinge with a sharpie so I know exactly where it goes back.
