No Dash Lights
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 10-Dec-02 AT 11:09 PM (EST)]I bought a 78 ford 4 wheel drive for 500 bucks ever since I got the truck the dash lights haven't worked but the exterior lights all work. someone told me to check the light switch, someone else suggested try new bulbs. I don't know where to start if somebody could please give me some more suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

I would do both. Start with the switch, as the rheostat in there burns out, and if that isn't it, go to the bulbs. Also, if the gauges aren't working, try the "INST" fuse.

Yeah I think I'll try the switch being as I have another 78 parts truck that has a good switch it won't cost me anything. My gauges all work and i looked at fuses already-wasn't lucky enough for it to be that.

I got dash lights now!!
Turned out that it was a combination of a bad switch and a burnt fuse. I checked the fuse when I got the truck and it was good but something blew it. It's all good now
