73-79 Model Kits or Die-Cast ?

I just saw the destroyer. I'm looking for one that at least resembles my truck. I would hate to have to go out and spend the cash on a lift, transfer case and huge tires to get mine to look like the model!

Thanks for looking though

go to LibertyClassics.com they make a 79 2x4 orange and white "HOOTERS" 1/25 die cast metal truck. when you get to the home page click on "Custom inprint" on the bottom left of the page. then click on "View Catalogue" then click on page 5. they custom make stuff.

Please read Post Number 7 on this thread to explain why I bumped this thread

I have yet another letter in with them.

They are making numerous other years & models of trucks.

Let's try & get them to make the 73-79 trucks especially the 78 & 79.

Dennis, I would love to see them start making model trucks for us. I drive a 73, but I would be happy with a 78 or 79. I'd actualy be happy with anything that came close. How do I get a letter to them to put my 2 cents worth in? The more people that send letters the more they will listen. I know there have got to be a bunch of people that would like to have a model of their truck. Now is the time to stand up and voice an oppinion. Give your fellow Ford lovers a hand.

All -

I have a Hot Wheels Truck with the Square Headlights. It's Brown and has a shell on it. It was either 2003 or 2004 series. If interested I'll post the actual number.

I got it all Wal-Mart about 3 months ago. I went to all the local WalMarts and bought all of the ones I could find. I know my B-I-L in Iowa was also able to find some.

I am pretty sure FTE people are wanting something larger than Hot Wheels scale.

For me, I would be happy with 1/8 th scale.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Is the truck Red/White (Sam Waltons Truck) ?
Or the White one with the Topper on it ?
Ford never had Square headlights.
I have a 1979 1/2 ton 1/24 scale.
Its metal and
is also a bank made by Libertey Classics.
The doors open and the wheels turn on rubber tires.
Its black and white whith chrome.
I recently bought a 1976 1/24 Super Camper Special on Ebay. I havnt recieved it yet but the pictures look good.
Don't get me wrong here... To me, the Hot Wheels truck was better than nothing since I've not been able to find a 78 or 79 in a model or larger die cast...
It's not red and white, or white. It's dark brown.
What do you mean Ford Never had Square Headlights?
Dennis, Hotwheels did a whole series, starting with the Sam Walton version. On my desk in front of me right now, I have the red & white Sam Walton, the blue Mantis, the white Black Hawk Messengers, and the black & orange Miller Hobbies. I have several more of the Miller one at home. One is going to get disassembled and repainted to look like what my real 79 will look like after it is painted. There is also a Harley Davidson version with orange cap, but I haven't been able to find that one yet. And of course we all know, it's rectangular headlights.
does anyone remember the 79 f150 stepside hotweeles? i have 3 different ones. one is black with flames another is purple with white flames, and the last one used to be orange but i used it soo much when i was little that the paint wore off and i repainted it with a sharpie... i also have the sam walton, and the harley davison trucks. i would love to get my hands on a 73-79 model. i almost got one on ebay but it got bid up too high. i dont care how much i want one 78 bucks is too much. i have an extra hotweeles truck that when i get time i will disassemble and repaint. i love these trucks!
