ok,here i am with another question.i have a very soft and low brake pedal,i have replaced the following parts.front and rear pads and shoes, drums, rotors, spring kit and master cylinder.i bench bled the master cylinder and then bled out the lines five or six times, first with a one man bleeder and then with the tried and true pump em,hold em,bleed em method.is it possible i still have air in the lines somewhere, and should i just keep bleeding?it is a 1991 f150 4x4
thanks for your help,i cheecked the firewall this morning and can' find any cracks so i am back to the theory of air in the lines or maybe the front hoses.i'm going to parts store now and replace those and bleed the brakes again.any thoughts, suggestions?thanks
Have someone push the brake while you look for flexing, plus when my master went out on my '90 going down a hill no less we replaced it and it was still soft and my abs light was on so we unhooked the batt. rehooked it then cycled the abs(going down street then slamming on brakes), i think that is the only way to also bleed the abs.
thanks,i'll try that my abs light was on but i took back the master cylinder i put on and now the abs light is out and i have more pedal.i still think there is air in the lines so i am going to replace all the fluid.
