No check engine light
Ok My check engine light is not on but I am encountering some problems with my Ford Ranger, 1999, with 96 thousand miles, a 3.0 engine, standared.
It rides smoothly and does not shake while driving, this has happend 3 times already, I start my truck up and it shakes for a second and idles very slow and it dies, does not dwd -Die While Driving.
The check engine light does not come on.. so hat do ya think?

getting worse
when I turn it on, it idles very low like almost not on. everything is barley on. it almost dies when I am at a stop sign shakes some. it runs smooth but when I change the gear ie clutch is bangs alittle.

I agree, I think your problem is the IAC valve. It is located on the throttle body. Most problems with the IAC will not set a code.....

Thank you for the link, I will just replace that thing and hope that is all it needs.. by the way, have a price on what that would cost? looks simple enough that I can repair it myself.. up front..

So this is where my IAC for my 99 ford ranger is located at?
Just want to make sure. sorry If I am not great on my paintshop drawing.
here is a quick clip vid of my engine. If you listen to it it goes up and down, it was worse before I was able to get the cam out to record it when it was doing bad.
