The EFI exhausts are basically cast iron hedders. They don't flow quite as well as tube hedders, but they're cheeper & last forever. They do use more bolts & don't mount to the stock carb intake. As a result they are a little tricky to line up, but not too bad. To my knowlege all years (late '86 to '96) are the same, so don't worry about what year. I've been running them on my truck ('84) with a '79 300 for the past few years with no problems. I have a junk (cracked) head that I drilled the extra holes in to see if it was possible to add the other holes & the holes are in the water jacket. If you were to do this you'd probably want to put in a stud for alignment only.
