fusible link

I have 89 f150 with a 302, it came with a towing pkg. There is no power to trailer plug, I suspect a fusible link but I dont know where it is. Any help is appreciated. Buddy

I don't think there is a fusible link, you'll have to use a test light and probe wires to find a bad connection. Most likely it's bad ground, or corroded wiring.

Just a guess. I have a "93" F-250 Diesel that I just got a trailer for. I had a problem with the runner lights and discovered to my chagrin that I had a 2nd fuse box I did'nt even know was there. This one sits in front of the master cylinder and has at least one relayed circuit going to the trailer harness. It was just a blown fuse, but in a place I never would have thought to look until I went to a dealership and got a print out of the wiring that was not shown in my books. My daily driver, an "88" F-250 does not have this 2nd fuse box but it does not have a towing package either so mabey that's why. A quick check of my books for your year/engine did not show a wiring diagram for a tow package but your local dealer may be able to print one for you. Good luck, Karl..
