Any cab drivers?

I was thinking about driving a cab part time. I already found out what I have to do as far as licensing. Just wondering if anyone does/ did this and how the money is. I live on Long Island so I'm guessing business must be pretty good with all the cabs I see running around. Any opinions good or bad would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I know over here, cabbies are not making much money.

Too much competion and regulations.

We won't talk about the ride and run people and the holdups.

i have a freind who drives a limo FT during the summers (college) he averages 8 bucks an hr, 12 hr shifts 5 days a week.
