Heres one for all

Any Ideas about why the a/c works at idle but stops working while moving a higher rpm? My truck is doing it. Took it in to shop. They said freon is fine but need more time to figure this out. Probably electrical

Is it still blowing or does it seem to stop at RPM? If it's doing that, it's vacuum, not electrical.

Or does it just seem to get warmer at RPM.

Need a little more detail.

Fan motor still blows but air get warmer and you can smell the moister. The truck gets muggy inside. My last trip to Portland. It would stay on for a few minutes than off for a long time. Kind of cycle on and off like if you are in the defrost setting. But doing it in the a/c and max a/c settings. It suck not having a/c when traveling with a wife, 7 yr, 6yr and 5.5 month old.

It sounds like its cycling on the high head control, that could be caused by a dirty condenser or a over charge in the system.

I'll check the dirty condensor and the high head control could act like the low pressure switch thinking low freon at first.
