poineer dimming problems... HELP
ok i just bought a poineer DHP-4700 and hooked it up and also installed 12 inch Kicker CVR subs with and 800 watt Audiobahn amp. when i turn the bass up just a little on the control ***, the headunit starts to dimm everytime bass hits the speakers. somebody said i had a bad ground so i ran a new ground wire. that didnt solve it. somebody else said it was a lack of current which is obvious. so i ran a wire directly to the battery for the headunit and obviously for the amp. but it still lacks power and dimms when the bass knocks. i only have those woofers hooked up with 2 highs in the doors. how do i fix this so it doesnt dimm???????

You might want to look at a more powerful alternator, the lights dim (all of them, not just the head unit) due to too much draw on your electrical system. A new alternator should cure the problem.

Before going for the alternator, I'd do the "Big 3" upgrade first. You basically upgrade all your charging system wires with 4 gauge wire. Do a search on it. There is a recent thread involving this.
