'01 Navigator audio help!?

Hi all. I just bought an '01 Navi with the upgraded Alpine stereo system and the subwoofer doesnt work. I've checked fuses and all seem fine. Through all my reading I've pretty much decided the amp must be dead.

So, on to the fun...
I have a Sony amp and JL subs from the old truck that I'd like to install into the Navi.

My question is this...
Where can I tap in for high level input? Or line level input?
I cant tap in from any of the door speakers because they are crossed over and I wouldnt get any low frequencies.

I'm hoping that the stock subwoofer amp has line level input that I can tap into under a door jam somewhere?? I kinda want to stay away from tearing off all kinds of interior panels.

Thanks for the help!

list your exact setup in current use - stock\aftermarket
and what you are trying to add to it or replace

Everything is stock (Alpine)
The subwoofer doesnt work anymore (stock amp blew - common issue)

I'd like to tap into the stock wiring that runs to the stock amp in order to get the audio input and remote turn-on, for use on a new aftermarket amp I'll be using to drive my new after market subs.

I'll run my 4 gauge straight to the battery, so I'm all set there. I just need to know which (color coded) wires are the audio input and which is the remote turn-on. And also if these wires can be accessed under the passenger-side door jam (like in most other vehicles). Then I'll just splice into them and run to the new amp

Thanks a bunch!
