well after a week of no check engine light and Ford dealership telling me they could not pull a code, the light was back on again today. Me and wife ran KOER test and got codes, 129, 167, and 225. I need help. When light is on bad runing and no power and fuel loss. I have changed O2, IAT sensor, all hoses going to canister and canister purge valve.
The Ford Dealership says light comes on because of 233,000 miles I think that is horse crap.
thanks
There were no codes at KOEO or Continuous code test? If the engine light came on why isn't there a stored code from the last 80 cycles.?
The three codes may be related to not stepping on the gas hard or long enuf. I get 225 50 percent of the time during KOER, I think it is operator (me) error.
Alcooner, are you hitting(goose) the gas pedal during the KOER test?. During the KOER test you'll see a single blink almost at the end of the test....this is the indication to goose the gas. Just a quick rev at least 1/2 way down.
I replaced the MAP sensor today, unhooked battery to reset codes. Well Engine light on again. Ran the KOER again and it still showed 129-MAP code. Got to fooling with vaccum lines and took one off going to throttle body and light went off and has not come back on. But still getting MAP code.
These emmision problems are a pain in the butt. Maybe my dang truck is wore out. Gonna change some vaccum lines tomorrow.
Any more suggestions are welcomed. I am at the end of my rope.
thanks
