The Chevy's seatbelt did not seem to work at all. The seat moved way too much and the entire firewall moved in. The airbag is the only safety feature that did it's job and seems to be the only thing that would keep you alive after this crash. But you would be severly injured with a broken neck, legs, etc. The damage traveled through the entire length of the frame, allowing it to whip around and buckle. The Ford, on the other hand, absorbed the inpact energy totally in the front crush zone. The passenger compartment held up and the seat, seatbelt, and airbag performed flawlessly. The strong frame kept the rest of the truck intact. You could walk away from this crash! I have always felt my F150 is a high quality, well designed truck and now I am more confident in just how well engineered it is. Thanks, db3812, for showing this to me.

Was just looking at this again and found that there is a link to the actual video of the crash test (just above the pictures). That's even worse, now I see where the dummie in the Chevy(no pun intended) disappeared to.
I was wondering one thing... do they do these tests more than once? Not that I am defending Chevrolet but I was just wondering about this.
Do they collect an average or just test one vehicle and judge it as crap or quality.
Can't think about this too much...you know how annoying those smoke detectors can be.
