I have a 1979 f-150 w/ 302ci and currently has the stock duraspark ignition. I would like to install a pertronix ignitor. I was wondering if there is anyone out there who could tell me how to do that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I Installed a Mallory unilite breakerless electronic conversion kit on my 73' F100 w/ a 302. I would have to say that the install was very easy and the rewards are great. I was going from points.

The pertronix ignitor is if you want to replace you points system. Just stick with the duraspark system. Thats what i wired into my '73 F-250 it works wonderful.
I have a 67 Mustang GT- 390 in my 76 f-250 supercab. I wanted to go with an earlier distributor and replaced the duraspark with a point type ford distributor. When it came time to replace the points I installed the pertronixs system. Its inexpensive at $65 dollars and you can go back to the points in about 20 min. if there is a problem. Since then I have installed the system in my 71 Mark 3 and will do the same in my 66 mustang this year.
