Building a soundproof box..

anyone ever do it?..I'm wanting to build one to sit my guitar cab inside for recording..and since its just a box,it'd be pretty portable..it wouldn't have to be real big. Also wondering if anyone knows any cheap ways of soundproofing?..this craft store down the road sells these really thick (6 or 8") sheets (4' x 8') of foam..wondering if that would work..seems like it would,to me..

When You Try To Make A Room Sound Proof You Need To Bounce The Sound Waves Into Another Direction. Lots Of People Use Foam And Then Cover It With Egg Crate Foam. The Egg Creat Absorbes And Redirects The Sound Waves Better Than A Sold Smooth Foam Wall

so in the box i'm building,i could probably put the thick,solid foam,then put the eggcrate stuff over it..

also..i've decided that i'm mainly trying to cut all the reverb out that i can...actually thats more important that soundproofing..but the soundproofing part is important too..
