Question Oil pressure high with A/C on

Ok, when I turn my A/C on my oil pressure gauge shoots all the way to maximum, and my temp gauge goes way up, even when i know its not hot because i just started the truck. Any ideas why its doing this, i just put R-134a in my truck yesterday, so this is the first time ive got to try my A/C in the heat.

Sounds like you may have a wiring/electrical issue. When you turn the A/C on, does it peg the gauges right away? Or is it a slow reaction, like the motor be stressed?

Pull the sender out and use a hand held gauge to get an actual pressure reading. Use a thermometer, either a laser one or a gauge in the radiator, to get an actual temp as well.

Its electrical, turns out its the fan, not the ac though, this explains my other gauges going out...

Your oil pressure isnt actually shooting up because your oil pressure gauge is nothing but a dummy light. If its getting at least 7 PSI, your gauge is in normal somewhere. If its in the high area then its just a faulty gauge or wiring problem.
