Kevin,
Your truck looks good so far. Can't wait till mine's at that stage. By the way, thanks for keeping up such a detailed web site of your progress/info. I often visit yours and Earl's site to get info/ideas. Drive on!
Engine is in the frame, the cab in the background is ready for paint, and your garage is all clean, I'm glowing with envy. I assume you found a extra trans? -4speed

Shed is clean? Can I tell my wife you said that?! I decided to try an overdrive tranny. Harvested it from truckfarmer's crop. Still haven't convinced Dad that the whole thing hangs off the bellhousing. He keeps looking at the pad cast into the tail housing. He won't believe it was only used in cars. I kind of wondered myself but my research seems to indicate no crossmember was used in trucks.
Kevin, my ford-o-matic has the same pad cast in to the tail housing, I can see his point. Your trans, should make 06 supernats a enjoyable cruise -4speed
Note the finished ceiling & walls, fans, good lighting, & the furnace/AC unit in the corner. Note also the cheesy, @#%&-eating grin on Kevin's face as he 's thinking, "Yeah, it's mine. ALLLLLLLLL MINE."
When I think about the times I've pulled transmissions, in the rain, lying in two inches of mud, with ATF dripping in my face & shredded skin stuck on bolts and sharp car parts, it just makes me envious. As a matter of fact, green with envy. About the exact shade of green on Kevin's engine block. (The correct color code, of course.)
By the way, Kev, I think that six needs a set of zoomie headers & Weber carbs.
WOW! Nice looking truck and WHAT A SHOP!!! Fans! Good lighting! Stuff on the walls besides plywood! Awesome! Clearly a man with his priorities in the right place!
I'll never forget -30 degrees in Ely while laying under my 78 rebuilding a 203 t-case in the front yard. Grabbed the trouble light with both hands and squeezed to keep some feeling in the fingers. Ever since, I vowed to get a garage and get it finished the way I wanted it...which is similar to Kevins....meanwhile the projects just pile up. Could this be a hopeless addiction? Also, I believe the steering column is an Ilostit
