i am having problems with my hood latching, i have the hood slid back just about as far as it will go and it still seems to be hitting the metal loop type thing on the hood on the verry back of it, where the metal bends up, so it wont alow it to latch
any help is appreciated
It's easier to adjust the location of the latch than the whole hood. I'd bet that the latch is bent backwards.
You can either bend it forward, or put some washers or a spacer behind it to bring it forward.
spaceing the latch will work but I would look at everything else first.
the radiator core support may need to be moved foward just a wee bit to make it work right.
on my 74 when I got it the doors were almost rubbing the fenders and it had the same problem with the latch. just my 2cents
