People who pull stuff like that (especially if its someone you work with, LORD knows) generally have a history. They also figure nobody can possibly be smarter than they are.

Consequently they become sloppy.

And that is exploitable...

Another point (and I forget where I learned it) is this:

"Hold your friends close. Hold your Enemies even closer"

Nothing beats knowing what's in the other guys hand...

I recall about 35 years ago an "aquaintence" of mine got burned by someone.

Not sure what it was.

So they caught up with him.

Then they injected him with a syringe full of draino.

I think he spent a several weeks in the hospital.

"OUCH"

Yep. You're right!

Exactly how I feel.

That was in high school.

Could have been rumors or BS.

The more I think about the more I think it was a drug deal gone bad.

And the aquaintence I knew; by name and face only--not in my click.
