Code 44 on a 302FI?
Got a code 44 when I did a key on engine running code scan..Code 44:Problems in thermactor air control system..What in the world is that. Also code 33 EGR position kept popping up in both tests if its relevant..Vehicle is a 90 Bronco 302 auto.

The thermactor air controls are related to your air pump. I believe the thermactor air control solenoids and the EGR soleniod runs off the same vacuum supply hose (green hose going to the intake). If that line is leaking or plugged could case your thermactor air control and EGR control to become inop. I am only guessing and hope this info helps.
