steering woes
Christmas and Happy New Year.
A special thanks to Ken for not only keeping this fantastic site up and running but actually making it even better.
I am down to one truck, a 79 f100 with a swapped in 351m, C6, I also
have a 76 Merc Marquis, 400m so it doesn't get lonely.
My steering has taken a sudden turn for the worst. (2wd f100)
I have tightened the bolts that hold the steering box to the frame, replced the pitman arm, greased the king pins, added some stop leak to the power steering box (worked well stopped leaking), new tires front and back. What should I do next. The rest of the steering arms appear tight and in good repair. I am obviously wrong about something
or missing something. I have good access to used parts but don't know where to go from here. What is the best way to check the steering arms? Have more questions but will deal with one issue at a time.
Hello again to all my old FTE friends, glad to be home

Have someone turn the wheel while you watch the pitman arm where it attaches to the steering gear box to see if the shaft is moving.
Also take a large pair of adjustable pliers and squeeze each tie joint to look for movement.
