Downpipe question
I just installed my downpipe, 3" from MBRP. Removing old pipe wasn't as bad as I thought (used a plasma cutter). But installing new pipe was a real PITA. My truck seems to have much less space at firewall than what I've been reading about here. My question: Is it OK for downpipe to contact exhaust manifold pipe? I can see light between pipes but I'm sure through vibration they contact. Thanks in advance, this site is the best, aloha.

Its not good for it to rub on the up-pipe. It'll wear a hole in both and you'll be pulling them back out. I guess you have a OBS truck?? I'd do a little more pushing and get more room. Those up-pipes ar'nt fun to get out.

Yeah the plasma made removal really easy, cut open the topside of downpipe and then cut through bottom side from inside out. Decided not to wait until the weekend, started today and going in with the porta power, thanks for the replies, aloha.
