Shift Kit and Computer Chip Combos?

Hi all. For those of you who might have been following my recenct posts, I bought a reman. engine from HiPerformer with a CompCam 4X4 cam replacement.(#35-255-5) I've been told it would be best to get a performance chip and a shift kit to complement the new cam. I've heard good things about the transgo an B&M shift kits.(I have a E40D) Does anyone have a combo that they particularly like on their rig? If so, include details, like price and where you purchased from. Also, I plan on buying some bassani headers if I can ever convince myself to fork over the cash.
Thanks for your input!!!

Bassini headers are real real nice if you can afford them. but there are others that are still great products an can deliver good performance to boot. jba, gibson, edelbrock come to mind. Transgo seems to be the kit of choice from many ive talked to. as for as chips go, i feel there wouldnt be to much gain untill you reached the max of what the computer can handle already and being speeddensity there arent to many chips to begin with. spend the money for a chip on a 56mm throttle body or edelbrock truck efi intake. both of those will compliment the cam . but exhaust should be first choice

Kemicalburns, do you think the speed density computer will allow the cam to do it's thing without a chip to free it up? I was told by the guys at HiPerformer that I would need a chip. I was looking at the Diablo 2 stage. $209 from motorhaven.
