I have a 1995 Ranger, 3.0 L, V6. My rear drivers side is riding very low to the ground. When I was hauling my boat up to Canada (truck has hauled it there 2 other times w/ no problems) we had to tape the boats chains so they wouldn't drag on the ground, and the mud flap was dragging on the ground becuase now it is curved. Now the mud flap is riding about 1 inch off the ground. I have replaced both rear shocks and this did not fix the problem. Whenever I go over a bump it is very bouncy, and makes a ton of noice. Now I am thinking it may be the leaf springs? What do you guys think it could be?
Thanks,
Jake
sounds like it could be leaf springs but make sure everything in the rear is intact. could be broken leaves in the leaf spring bundle or it could be a broken shackle or mount or bolts. if you are not sure if something is not normal just use the other side as a reference.
Ok, Thank you el conquistador for you reply. Does ne1 else think it could be nething other than the Leaf Spring? I don't want to go replacing a ton of parts to find out what is wrong.
Thanks,
Jake

you shouldn't have to replace a ton of parts, something must be broken under there. are there any broken leaves? anything cracked? it will be hard for anyone to know what is wrong with it without looking under the truck. at this point, one can only speculate.
