truck running terrible
i didnt know exactly whihc forum to put this in but my 88 f250 has been running liek crap lately and any help would be appreciated. about 3 weeks ago my check engine light kept coming on and the truck would start bucking as i drove it and someone told me it was my fuel pump so i switched the tank i was using cuz i have 2 tanks. i havent had any problems since then till last night i was driving and it started doing it again it didnt do it the whole time but like i said the check engine light came on and the truck started to buck any ideas on what this is?

The check engine light is the computer telling you it sees something wrong. You need to get the codes from the computer to see what it's problem is. You can try to take it to a local auto store and see if they will plug into it for free, or you can follow the instructions at this site http://dalidesign.com/hbook/eectest.html and do it yourself.
