brake rotors
I have a 1978 f-250 2wd crew cab that I drive daily some one at some time had put a 1 ton rotor on the left side with the huge lug nuts, my friend needed a 1 ton rotor so I took it off and gave it to him cause I'm such a nice guy (ya right!) so I took a 3/4 ton rotor off my 1974 f-250 parts truck and tryed to put it on my 79 but the bearing was to small(inner bearing, outer was the same)so I swapped the inner bearing and race from my old 1 ton rotor and slipped it on the spindle,went on perfect but when I went to spin it,it was rubbing on the back side I think against the caliper mounting bolts,was there a change during the 1970, in the rotors or bearings? any ideas? thanks guys.
