I'm putting my engine back together and I have 2 problems here I dont know where the PCV (Positive crack case valve) goes and theres a tube that goes on top of the EFI before the wire tree my pop said that the PCV valve goes into the male fitting wich Im talking about but it doesnt seem like it should go thether Im thinking that it should just hang loose My application is a 96 Bronco XLT 5.8W

I can feel my PCV valve but not see it. Passenger side of engine near firewall. It is on top of the valve cover underneath the intake. Due to inaccessibility, as long as there is some vacuum at the little hose going into the air filter box I'm not touching it. Haynes has a good view showing a "L" shaped hose attached to PCV. The hose attaches to a tube called intake manifold fitting assy which screws into the intake manifold against the firewall.
