Only safety related recalls were honoured for extended periods.
A ford dealership here where I live ,wouldn't fix my recall on the Transmission popping into gear from Park, after my truck crunched one of their 05 Escapes.

$1100.00
It was $1400.00
After I helped sell over $500,000 worth of truck/car inventory between Nov 2003 & Oct 2004 ,he had the audacity to charge me full retail for the parts.
He just had to make $450.00 off me.
When I went to pay the body shop guy,I handed the owner my bill for selling his trucks & cars at 5% commission .
He laughed,I laughed back, He said he couldn't remember who I was.
I told him his Dad who is actually the real owner does.
I drove to Olds to talk with him and later that day he made his son pay me some money back. $350.00.
