Going To Grand Bend...

To the Dragstrip Saturday. We'll be there by noon. I think it's time to take my "Bob Glidden" t shirt out for some fresh air. The air around here hasn't been too good lately.
My buddy's 92 F-350 crew cab has red duct tape (matches the red & grey paint job sorta) on the box above the fenders. So, if anybody is going, look for the t shirt &/or the C/C dually.
Later.
AL.

Holy...that is an understatement coming from you! (Inside story, maybe AL with elaborate when he gets back?)...

Too bad I couldn't go. I am already busy with stuff with my wife and parents. How did you get access to a computer? You can email me if you want...

One dead landlord....

Left to rot for 5-6 days on the hardwood floor has been a continuing nightmare. Even with all the windows open and 3 fans going, the reak still makes my eyes burn.
I got home from the track about 3:30 am. Packed the kids into the tow truck & drove them home to Ajax. I got back around 4:15 to discover someone running through the next door neighbours yard. I went downstairs & brushed my teeth, then came back outside for a smoke. That's when I noticed some things were out of place. Someone had entered the main floor through a back window!
The police report took about 30 minutes. I finally get to bed around 5:30 am. So ends my 22 hour day.
But wait!!! It's not over!!!!!!!!
My boss calls me up at 10:47 am & tells me that the deceased's brother had called HIM at about 2:00 am asking all kinds of questions about the where abouts of the landlords trucks etc., etc., etc. Obviously this guy got the number off the tow truck when the family came to the house Saturday to lay a couple of wreaths on the front lawn. Funny that someone breaks into the house a couple of hours later!!!!!!!!!
Just to shorten up the ending, I'm really not impressed with the Toronto police force right now and there's not a damn thing I can do about it without risking my own credibility.
Just to add injury to insult, my boss' sister lost the phone number for a basement apartment just around the corner from the boss' house.
I double dog doo dare anybody to claim they've had a worse week than me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't have any choice....

But to be home. One night on the boss' couch (net 3 hours sleep) left me more sore than a busy winter day at work.
Also, with nobody around to mind the house, I have to be here.
I pulled out all the stops today and called everyone I know that knew the landlord to contact the widow (catholic folks but separated). I need permission to go upstairs and at least lock the place down.
There's a few things going on tomorrow that will make for a very interesting day, & I'll say no more.
