Strange problem
Weird problem here with my 98 f150 4x4 xlt power windows,locks,mirrors. When in drive my drivers window will go up not down put it in park or neutral it will work fine. Also when I put it in drive as soon as I touch the brakes the 4X4 high and low light flash once. And somtimes they will flash as im driving at random. Are the windows controlled by the Gem? Am I looking at a Gem module. Will a used one work or do i have to buy it new and get it programmed for my truck.

Strange fix for strange problem
Well it turns out it was a simple fix and I still cant explain it. I have a aftermarket temperature guage and installed it in the stock sensor location and the ground wire for the light was broken. I hooked the ground to the body and power to the parking lights. Hooked the ground back up and all is well. Ill take a better look tomorrow and maybe ill find the root of the problem. I suspect the ground wire is broken somewhere else and the temperature wire was supplying ground to somthing else.
