Seat Belt Replacement
Seat Belt Replacement
A couple of questions before I replace the buckle end of the driver's seat belt. How do I remove the plastic cover at the anchor end? It has a torx cutout. I can turn it but it does not loosen. I tried to pry it loose, but didn't want to apply more force until I knew that is the right way to do it. Also, what size torx wrench will I need for the anchor bolt? Thanks.

the torx bolt cover is of the turn as you pry up design. turn it with a t-45(?) while prying up from the back side and it will twist right off. the bolt is a t-50, be sure to wd-40 that thing as it is exposed to the undercarriage.
just a note * do not apply heat to the underside of body where the bolt comes thru* i did that once on another vehicle when no lube would brake it free... story short it set the carpet on fire lol thank god for fire extingishers lol. part of that learning curve lol, did first then like omg what was i thinking kinda things
