Question Carb problems I6 idle switch

Help! i'm new to this site
I recieved a 84 ford E250 with a I6 1bbl for free and i got a can of worms first off the comp was disconnected so i hooked it up and all the emissions crap was missing so i found most of it at the junkyard started to work better i got a five wires that i don't know where they go. But right now i have a carb issue. Its the switch that i think works with the tranny at idle. the Nut screw won't go out far enough to touch. was there a rubber tip that was supposed to be there or what. when in drive it bogs but when i press the switch it stops how should i go about fixing this. original owner had just moved the idle screw all the way in so you wouldn't notice. I in my infinite stupidity adjusted the idle screw to where it should be. on another note how many volts does the o2 sensor wire send. theres three wires that go to the comp they read .01v, .o2v, .14v any and all help is extremely apreciated

your mistake was you shoulda thanked the person who unhooked the computer... go back to the junkyard and find a slightly older truck get a durasparkII ignition and carter 1bbl without the feedback. you can keep your egr, evap canister, cat, and smog pump, so you would be ok for emmisions and then you have no sensors and computers to worry about.

Thanks Bigbrowntruck,

I think all the Stuff i hook up made it run shall we say better. But now it idles up when it sits a idle. give it gas and it goes back to reg. idle Maybe the choke or clogged fuel filter

What year truck should i look for the durasparkII ignition and carter 1bbl without the feedback?

84 was the first year for the feedback system, so go back from 84 any early 80's truck would be the best bet since all your wires are gonna be the right there and the proper length, if i remember correctly there is a resistor wire that you need to get from the donor truck so make sure you get it as well.
