double check my block id here...
0 space 6015 space E(or B)34(or A)Z.
Then on the line below that was attatched it was 8K20. I've got the 8K20 as probably 78, October 20th by the picture.
I don't have anything to clean it with (not even WD40) so some of it wasn't to clear. I think it was an E and a 4 becuz of how it felt when I scratched my knife across it so what I'm wondering is what is the 0 in front of the whole mess for? and what the last four characters mean and how can I tell what the block size is?
All this started becuz of my starter and flywheel not working together since the starter I bought it with, went out. We can't keep a starter in it and when I had the transmission rebuilt, we thought we had the starter problem resolved until we had the tranny man put a new flywheel in it becuz the other was bad. I had it back less than 48 hours and it destroyed 2 starters in less than 5 hours. Is there a difference between the flywheel for a 302 and a 351? I've already been told that it's the same flywheel for a C4 and a C6 and this is supposed to be a 302 and it is a C6 transmission. I'm lost as to where to go next unless there's a difference between the flywheel on the different motors and the tranny man mistook which motor I have or we mistook which motor I have but I just don't think that we got the wrong motor...We've been buying 302 parts and they fit fine... Maybe he heard Dad wrong or something becuz on the receipt he wrote that my truck was an F150 when it's an F100. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

I also think there might be diffrent starter choice on some of the "newer" 302 stuff that may have a diffrent gear on them. but I am not positive.
There's a coupla posts up here about my starter. I think the one that said the most is uh... "if it wasn't a ford i'd'a shot it already".. or something like that. I was going to Napa when trying to get a new starter and it took 3 from them before we figured out there was a difference and got one that worked and then it started going out right before I took it in and we told the tranny man that the flywheel needed to be looked at becuz of our starter problems and the starter was probably bad too. He replaced the flywheel, not the starter cuz it was ok he said and that's where we started over and destroyed a new flywheel and 2 starters in the less than 48 hours I was driving it when I got it back. All of that's under "starter again" I think. So now, I'm trying to figure out if I've even got a 302 in the truck or if the PO was full of crap and if there's a difference between what goes on the different blocks etc. From the receipt on my transmission rebuild, it says "164T Ford Flywheel" so I'm guessing that he put a 164 tooth gear on there which is the one with the bigger diameter right? Now I get to go count on the old one that I still have and see but I imagine they're the same which may be why we're having the problems. When the tranny man pulled the transmission off, he said that the dowel pin between the tranny and the block was gone. It just wasn't there so the whole shabang wasn't lined up right so he put one in it and now it's blowing starters even faster than before...I don't know what's going on.
Thanx!
