Steering Problems
My steering column is shaky at best. The horn blows while driving and gray dust falls from under the wheel. Does anyone have an idea of how to rectify this problem?

sounds like the bearings are coming apart in the colume buy the gray dust(aluminum) from underneith the dash,and the slack.

so just replace the bearings. what about the seal?

there are no seals in the colume.if it has been doing this for a long time you might have to put a upper shaft in it.disconnect all the wires from the colume,dont forget the shift indicater .unbolt it and chuck it up in a vise.
