got my estimate back, new roof?
You may have seen the thread where I talk about the tree falling onto my cab last week. (original thread ) Well, I got the estimate from State Farm (+/-$6000). Obviously they're gonna replace the entire roof. My question is, how hard would it be for a shop to convert the standard roof that I have into one with a moonroof? I'm assuming the wiring is just hanging there unused inside the head liner. Also, in my current headliner, I've got the compartment for sunglasses and garage door opener. I assume that would have to go? What do you think?

for anyone thinking of doing this, getting the roof and parts from Ford will cost about $700. Then there's about 4.5 hours of labor for a body man to install it. So you're looking at over a grand at that point. You'd be better off just installing an aftermarket type. I guess I'll just return mine to stock and stop parking near trees!
