Stay away from plug in chips!!! The ecm does not get a good seal once the chip is in and you will get water in it. Use a SuperChips tuner, I sell about 10 a month and no problems. Even had where customers did not remove it before taking it to a dealer and the dealer flashed it. SuperChips works very well with the customer and never seen and codes thrown due to the program.

I have to throw up the BS flag. I have never had a problem with my chip. I had a Superchip tuner but UPGRADED to a flip chip. Sounds like you are a dealer trying to make a sell.
2000 F-250 7.3L, CC 4x4, 4" turbo back exhaust, Tymar intake, 6 position flip chip, Wicked Wheel, Overboost eliminator, CCV mod and much more.
I don not need to sell. I sell them all and am not trying to sell anything. I can ony tell you what we see. Have changed many ecm's due to water. If you want a chip, do it. They work fine untill you go thru deep water. Most people think they can drive the desel thru deep water, not so.
I am not knocking the Superchips Tuner, like I stated I had one. But what about all the folks like me, who have flip chips and wash their engines along with the truck?
Washing is not the problem. It comes from driving thru deep water. The ecm is in the left side fender well. You have to go thru alot of water, but people due.

That's interesting. On my '99 the ECU (and chip port) is inside the truck next to the parking brake pedal. Yes the main plug is outside in the engine compartment.
Best is a chip. Best chip (IMHO) is a Jody Tipton custom burned chip or PCM.
As far as programmers go.
I have heard good things about the Edge Juice w/Attitude.
Tom
There goes the neighborhood Whats up Tom?
Yea my ECM is in the same place Kwik. I have a flip chip and if it gets submerged in water then I have other things to worry about because that means my cab is submerged

ABSOLUTE BS!!!
Glad I am not buying anything from you. You don't even know where the PCM is? I am sorry, but that is an unforgivable mistake for a vendor in my book.

i got the predator tuner because i wanted to experiment with some plug and play hp settings... nice unit that works well... the tow program is good and the 80 hp program is real nice for a daily driver.. 85 hp is a little wild for dailly driving and the 100 hp program is almost useless because i can't keep the rear end on the ground... one thing this tunner has taught me is that a flip chip is the way to go, but only when you finally get all your mods installed... then you can get a chip that is setup for your trucks specific combination of mods...
I can't speak for any other tuner, but I personally have the Predator and it is awesome. I run 305/55-20s (Roughly 33-inches tall, 12-inches wide) on the 85 HP setting and lighting those things up from a stop light is no problem. I can't imagine how bad the traction would be on the 85 HP tune with stock pizza cutters, not to mention the 100 HP tune. Believe it or not, I haven't tried the 60 HP tow-safe tune yet...only the 85 and 100 HP tunes. 100 HP is too much, scared I'll break the tranny lol. I don't drive like an ***, 95% of the time I'm about 1/4 of the way into the throttle and the truck moves along great.
