Loud feul pump
So... I have a 1990 f150 4x4 with a 302 and one of the feul pumps is very loud. It has dual tanks. THe noise is even louder when the tank is low on gas. my rear tank isnt loud at all. Is this bad? is the pump going?

I wouldn't worry too much about it, unless you're having stumbling or starting problems on that tank. If you want to check the pump, get a fuel pressure gauge. They're about $30 at parts stores and Sears.

i hear my front one more just because it is so close to cab. i have an eight foot bed and that rear pump is back there plus i have a plastic bed liner and a topper. i think you are ok, the fuel cools and insulates the pumps and when it gets low on fuel they generally get noisier, all my vehicles do.
