Anybody running both the chrome wheel well accents and mud flaps on their SD? I desperately need some mudflaps to help protect the front on my TT from stones but I'm also thinking of adding the trim as well.
Any suggestions and/or pictures would be appreciated.
I have painted wheel opening mouldings (stock on Lariat, they're small compared to aftermarket "flares") and Husky mud flaps, made for the truck with wheel opening mouldings. They fit GREAT.
I don't think you'll find anything made to fit what your thinking of, be creative. You'll probably have to trim the moulding so it buts up against the mudflap, it definately won't fit under the mudflap. The Huskies made for trucks with mouldings, are for the factory mouldings.
I've got the chrome aftermarket wheel well trim (actually they're stainless steel), about 1 1/2" wide or so. I don't think this type would interfere with a mud flap installation though.
I guess it depends on the brand of mudflaps you purchase. Mine are Huskies, and they are of the same quality, if not the same manufacturer as Fords dealer option. There is no room for anything between the mudflap, and the fender. They're made to fit the conture of the fender, exactly.
I'm running the stainless wheel well trim on my f250 with aftermarket rubber flaps-everything fits fine. The stainless trim lies pretty flat on the fender where the flaps fit. No idea what the flaps are, but they are not Ford-kind of a one size fits all thing.

Thanks, the pro flaps fit fine in the back with the trim, my buddy said his came real close on the front but my truck is 1" taller than his so I will add them this month to the front.
If you check my gallerie you'll see that I have the molded splash gaurds and the stainless steel fender trim, no problems, the splash gaurds are Ford brand gaurds. They are close but they will fit. Also if they don't you could do a little trimming on the mud flaps / splash gaurds to make it work with out to much effort.
Contrary, Ford mudflaps are specific to the application.
