Sounds like the orifice tube is plugged up front.
It's in the pipe just behind the junction from the front AC radiator (condenser)
Any sort of junk is your system is going get trapped in the filter and gum it up.
It's a real bugger to remove, there is a special tool that you can get to help remove
it.
The reason I hate converting one is that the seals are designed for R-12, they will not hold the 134, and if you have a leak causing you to convert it, obviously the different fluid will be a worse leak. The only true way to convert one is to change the pump, reciever/drier, filters and seals, the hoses can still pose as a potential leak, but you eleminate much other problems by following this.
Anyone who finds the ozone safe 12 beware, it is highly flamable and not safe leaking under the hood, many fires fave been the result of this stuff, so pass it up.
