I have a 1996 F150 XLT, 5.8 liter, automatic trans. Today, I attempted to start it up, the engine began to turn over, then I heard what sounded like some sort of electrical short. Everything then went dead. Now, nothing in the electrical system--ignition, lights, automatic door locks, etc. work.
About 2 months ago I had work done on the ingnition system. The cylinder that houses the ignition lock broke and had to be replaced. I also have a kill switch underneath the dash that's been there since I've owned the vehicle, which I noticed was rotated slightly after I had the work done on the ignition.
Any ideas as to what's wrong would be most appreciated.
