I have a 1978 f250 3/4 ton and it has full-time four wheel drive. Can I put lockout hubs on the front. Or should I try to find a Np205 to replace the Np203.

I would get the NP205 t-case reguardless, still would need the lock-outs. Never cared for the chain driven NP203. Just my 2 cents.

unless you're going to do some very serios off-roading i wouldn't bother to switch the t-case. you have to buy a whole kit to convert you full-time to part-time. find a four-wheel drive shop or jc whitney even has them.
