460 header temp

460 header temp
I have a 97 F-250 HD with A 460, E4OD, 2WD
I put a set of doug thorly headers on it.
This Weekend I was towing about 4000 lbs up a 6%, I was wide open going 60 mph. I stoped at the top of the hill and looked for anything wrong and my headers were glowing dull red. Is this from the massive horsepower the 460 is making or is it somthing wrong.
